Market highlights

1 Medical clinic chain Healthway Medical Corporation expects to make a loss for its fourth quarter and full year ended Dec 31, mainly due to significant impairment of certain receivables and goodwill.

2 SGX-listed Natural Cool, which has seen boardroom upheaval recently, said chief corporate officer Ng Quek Peng has resigned. Mr Ng's reason was "misalignment of interest with that of the company".

3 Universal Resource and Services has found financial irregularities related to cash balances of its subsidiaries in China. It has asked for a trading suspension, and has set up a committee to seek legal advice.

4 Dyna-Mac expects a net loss for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, and a loss for the full year, mainly due to a write-off of goodwill, impairment of certain fixed assets and trade receivables.

5 EuroSports Global Limited is in talks to acquire the shares of Hong Kong firm SS Ventures, which has developed an online solution for taxi hailing services, from Mr Siu Tat Man.
