Market highlights

1 Asia Fashion said Hong Kong resident Dai Ji Zhou will subscribe to $2.1 million of convertible bonds. Mr Dai has been running technology and investment-related businesses in China for more than 20 years.

2 The most active exchange-traded funds (ETFs) this month so far include the iShares MSCI India Index ETF, SPDR Gold Shares, SPDR Straits Times Index ETF and db x-trackers MSCI Indonesia Index UCITS ETF.

3 Sembcorp Industries said that its multi-currency debt issuance programme has been updated to increase the maximum aggregate principal amount that can be issued from $2 billion to $2.5 billion.

4 Singapore Exchange-listed YuuZoo said it has invested in Relativity Media, one of the world's largest independent movie studio and entertainment groups.

5 Keppel Corp has reiterated its support for KrisEnergy's proposed preferential offering of notes with free detachable warrants. It is discussing with KrisEnergy its plans to subscribe to its entitlement and to those not taken up.
