Market highlights

1 Gold rose to US$1,257.95 an ounce as investors await the minutes from the US Federal Reserve's policy meeting and as Asian stocks fell, lifting demand for haven assets.

2 The 10 most active stock structured warrants this month are based on six shares: DBS Bank, UOB, OCBC, Singtel, Keppel Corp and CapitaLand, said an SGX report.

3 BreadTalk bought back 134,000 of its shares last Friday at 99.317 cents per share. The total paid was $133,498.

4 Property player Yanlord Land bought back 400,000 of its shares at between $1.38 and $1.385 apiece for a total outlay of $554,554.

5 SGX-listed Courts Asia bought back 28,000 of its shares at 42.5 cents each for $11,921.
