Market highlights

1 Tee International bought back 40,000 of its own shares from the market yesterday. It paid 22 cents apiece, bringing the total cost to $8,830.52. It now has 190,600 treasury shares.

2 Asiatravel.com Holdings bought back 50,000 of its own shares at 15 cents apiece yesterday. It spent $7,546.01 in all. It has purchased 5,694,000 shares since Jan 29.

3 Santak Holdings said yesterday it is still in talks over a potential disposal of its business in China, which has been in the red. The company had first announced the restructuring plan last month.

4 Clarifying Australian news reports, Straits Trading said its Straits Real Estate unit has been in talks with potential buyers over the possible sale of an office building at 114 William Street, Melbourne.

5 Vard Holdings has secured a contract of close to US$40 million (S$54.4 million) for the design and construction of two more module carrier vessels for Topaz Energy & Marine.
