Market highlights

1 CVC Capital Partners is forming a partnership with GIC to invest in the RAC as the Carlyle Group exits, Reuters reported. The RAC is Britain's second-largest roadside assistance provider.

2 KS Energy said its KS Drilling unit has won a US$4.1 million contract to build a land drilling rig. The work in Pakistan is expected to begin in January.

3 The two largest integrated processors on the SGX - Wilmar and Olam - are down about 8.4 per cent this year while plantation giants Golden Agri-Resources and First Resources averaged a 7.3 per cent fall.

4 GCCP Resources said the writ of summons from Malaysian builders Ujiteknik Geoenviro has now been withdrawn and there will be no further legal proceedings.

5 iFAST Corporation said its purchase of Hong Kong's Winfield Securities has been approved by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong, subject to certain conditions.
