SINGAPORE - A unit of construction group Low Keng Huat will buy 36 units in the Balestier Tower for $63.9 million, said the company on July 8.
The unit, called Newfort Alliance (Moulmein), had previously bought 15 commercial units and an apartment at Balestier Towers for $77.3 million in August last year.
It exercised options to buy the remaining 36 units in the mixed-use development on Tuesday.
Once the purchase is complete, Newfort will be the registered owner of all the units in the property, said the company in a statement.
The acquisition and redevelopment of the tower will be financed by internal resources and borrowings from financial institutions.
