Hong Kong stocks rise 0.53% at open on Friday

HONG KONG (AFP) - Hong Kong shares opened 0.53 per cent higher Friday following

another record close for the S&P 500 and Dow on Wall Street in response to aggressive European Central Bank measures to boost the eurozone economy.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index spiked 121.66 points to 23,231.32.
