Health supplement distributor Jacks International report net loss for H1

SINGAPORE - Jacks International, a health supplement distributor, reported a half-year net loss of $57,000, reversing from a net profit of $479,000 in the preceding year.

This was mainly owing to lower revenue and higher marketing and distribution expenses and foreign exchange loss in current reporting period.

Revenue was $7.4 million for the six months to July 31, a 6.2 per cent dip from $7.8 million a year ago.

Loss per share for the period was 0.05 cent, down from a profit per share of 0.38 cent a year ago, while net asset value was 42.37 cents as at July 31, up from 8.76 cents as at Jan 31.
