Home-grown sound-card maker Creative Technology recorded a fourth-quarter net loss of US$2.7 million (S$3.8 million), 22 per cent better than last year's US$3.4 million loss.

Sales for the three months to June 30 declined 8 per cent over last year to US$21.2 million. Net loss for the 12 months to June 30 widened further by 53 per cent to US$33.4 million, while revenue fell 14 per cent to US$99.5 million.

Quarterly loss per share was four US cents, up from a loss of five US cents cents per share in the corresponding quarter last year. Net asset value per share was US$1.45 as at June 30, down from US$1.93 on June 30 last year.


New Silkroutes Group

New Silkroutes Group, a former computer distributor that recently announced plans to transform into an oil and gas company, reported a net loss of US$970,000 (S$1.36 million) for the fourth quarter, compared with a net profit of US$1.4 million a year ago.

Sales for the three months to June 30 fell to US$6.8 million, from US$18 million a year ago.

Net loss for the 12 months to June 30 was US$2.5 million, compared with a net profit of $1.9 million a year ago, while full-year revenue fell 23 per cent to US$38.7 million.

Loss per share for the year was 0.6 US cent, against earnings per share of 0.6 US cent a year ago. Net asset value per share was 6.9 US cent as at June 30 ( 7.3 US cents a year ago).


Koon Holdings

Construction firm Koon Holdings reported that net profit for the six months to June 30 soared 169.5 per cent to $4.6 million, while revenue rose 15.5 per cent to $104.1 million.

Earnings per share for the period was 1.76 cents, compared with 0.65 cent a year ago. Net tangible value per share was 21.27 cents as at June 30, compared with 19.34 cents a year ago.


GRP

GRP, a mainboard-listed company that makes hoses for the marine industry, recorded a 69.5 decline in full-year net profit to $842,000.

Revenue for the 12 months to June 30 fell 9.6 per cent to $24.5 million.

Earnings per share for the year was 0.13 cent, down from 0.51 cent a year ago, while net asset value per share was 9.74 cents as at June 30, down from 10.42 cents a year ago.
