Co-working space Spacemob closes US$5.5 million seed funding round

SINGAPORE - One of the latest co-working spaces in town has just closed a US$5.5 million seed funding round.

Spacemob, which is on Claymore Hill, announced on Wednesday that its seed funding round was led by the venture fund Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia.

Temasek-related company Vertex Ventures Holdings, which was an early investor in several start-ups such as luxury e-commerce portal Reebonz, had set up a venture fund for South-east Asia and India last year (2015).

Apart from Vertex Ventures, the other primary investors are angels investors in the property and hospitality industries, and venture capital firm Alpha JWC Ventures out of Indonesia.
