China shares flat in morning trade

SHANGHAI (AFP) - Chinese stocks were flat in morning trade Thursday due to caution ahead of the release of April trade figures, dealers said.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.06 per cent, or 1.26 points, to 2,008.82.

The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.23 per cent, or 2.38 points, to 1,025.61.
