Investors will be focused on this week's Federal Reserve meeting in the United States as well as Singapore's export data, although trade concerns will never be far away.

United Overseas Bank (UOB) economist Alvin Liew said the Fed will likely stay its hand this month but lay the groundwork for an interest rate cut in the months ahead, maybe even next month.
