Philip Kunz returns to HSBC as head of global private banking for South East Asia

SINGAPORE - HSBC announced on Wednesday (Sept 27) that Philip Kunz will return to the bank as its Singapore-based head of global private banking for South East Asia.

Mr Kunz was regional head of wealth management for HSBC Private Bank before moving in 2010 to UBS where he held a number of senior wealth management and private banking roles, most recently as wealth management chief operating officer for its Singapore office.

HSBC said that in his new appointment, which he will begin shortly, Mr Kunz will be responsible for driving and executing the bank's strategy for private banking across South East Asia.

He will report locally to HSBC Singapore's chief executive officer, Tony Cripps, and functionally to regional head of global private banking, Asia-Pacific, Tan Siew Meng.
