SINGAPORE - Young professionals have been flocking to OCBC's recently launched 360 account, with the bank reporting more than 18,000 people signing up for the account within the first month of its launch.

Seven in 10 of these customers were so-called PMETs: professionals, managers, executives or technicians, OCBC said in a press release last Friday.

And three in 10 were young professionals aged 23 to 29 years old, it added.

The 360 account, which was launched on April 2, offers customers interest rates of up to 3.05 per cent a year if they use this account for all their banking transactions.

OCBC attributed the popularity of its 360 account to its "simplicity in enabling customers to enjoy a high interest rate and the accessibility of OCBC Bank's extensive network".
