Metal card with Visa payWave technology released by DBS

SINGAPORE - DBS introduced a new version of its Insignia Visa Infinite Card, a metal card with the Visa payWave function.

The contactless-enabled metal card aims to meet the payment needs of customers in the affluent and high net-worth segment, and is available by invitation only.

Visa said the affluent segment in Singapore is growing at 25 per cent year on year.

DBS also noted in Singapore, 40 per cent of face-to-face transactions made today are contactless.

Ms Ooi Huey Tyng, Visa country manager for Singapore and Brunei, said: "The introduction of the world's first Visa payWave metal card - DBS Insignia is aligned with the needs of the affluent consumer today who are embracing a cashless lifestyle."
