SINGAPORE - Payment solutions provider Nets said on Friday (July 22) that Mr Jeremy Soo Hsiao Chin, DBS managing director and head of its consumer banking group in Singapore, has been appointed to its board of directors.

Mr Soo's appointment will take immediate effect. He succeeds Ms Rachel Yap as a DBS representative to the Nets board.

Mr Soo has 30 years of consumer banking and finance experience. He joined DBS in 2003 and oversees the DBS, POSB, wealth management networks and distribution, ATM/digital/mobile channels as well as all key consumer related products and services in Singapore.

Nets said Mr Soo was instrumental in the digital transformation of DBS Singapore's consumer banking business. Under his leadership, the consumer banking business rolled out several first-in-market innovations, including DBS SMS Q, POSB Cash-Point and DBS FasTrack.

"The business has also shown consistent revenue growth and gains in market share across most segments - no small feat given Singapore's highly competitive banking landscape," said Nets.
