Asian companies recognised for investing in human capital development

Unilever Thailand and the Manila Electric Company have won top honours for strong human capital development practices.

They emerged as winners out of 89 applications submitted by 58 organisations in 11 countries across Asia.

Senior Minister of State for Manpower Dr Amy Khor gave out the Asian Human Capital Awards - which recognises companies for investing in human capital - on the second day of the Singapore Human Capital Summit on Thursday.

Companies from a range of industries, from engineering to consumer goods, were recognised for their investments in human capital.

Siemens China and Indian supermarket chain Reliance Retail also received special commendations.
