US boys, 13, charged with killing great-grandmother
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Two 13-year-old United States (US) boys were accused on Friday of using a hatchet and hammer to kill one boy's great-grandmother while stealing jewellery and a car from her home.
The boys were ordered held on US$1 million (S$1.22 million) bond. They are being charged as adults.
Prosecutors in Wisconsin allege that the boys went to 78-year-old Barbara J. Olson's home on Monday with the intent to rob and kill her. Authorities said her body was found in the garage, in a pool of blood, two days later by her daughter.
The boys are charged with being party to the crime of first-degree intentional homicide.
