FORT HOOD, Texas (AP/AFP/Reuters) - A United States Army psychiatrist has been found guilty of all 45 charges against him, including premeditated murder, for the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood. That means he is now eligible for the death penalty.

Military jurors on Friday unanimously found Nidal Hasan, 42, guilty for the attack that killed 13 people and injured more than 30 others at the Texas military base.

The trial now enters a penalty phase, where prosecutors will ask jurors to sentence Hasan to death.

The convictions mean Hasan could face the death penalty by lethal injection. The jury will begin hearing the penalty phase of the court-martial on Monday and make a recommendation to the judge, who will determine the sentence.
