KIEV (AFP) - The makeup of Ukraine's new government will be announced on Wednesday on Kiev's Independence Square, the scene of three months of at times deadly protests, a lawmaker said.

"At 7:00 pm (2:00 am Thursday, Singapore time) we will take to the stage to present the new government to the square," Valeriy Patskan, a lawmaker from the party of former boxing champion Vitali Klitschko, said in a statement posted on the UDAR (Punch) party's website.
