Ukraine parliament reappoints Azarov as PM

KIEV (AFP) - The Ukrainian parliament on Thursday confirmed the reappointment of prime minister Mykola Azarov after the surprise resignation earlier this month of the premier loyal to President Viktor Yanukovych.

A total of 252 deputies out of 450 in the single-chamber parliament supported Azarov's candidacy, including Yanukovych's ruling party, the Communists and several independents.
