'Three Cups of Tea' co-author of bestselling book Relin dies at 49
PORTLAND, Oregon (AP) - David Oliver Relin, co-author of the best-selling book "Three Cups of Tea" that drew allegations parts of it were fabricated, has committed suicide in the state of Oregon, authorities said.
Mr Relin, 49, died in the Portland-area town of Corbett on Nov. 14, deputy medical examiner Peter Bellant said late Sunday night.
He said Mr Relin died of blunt force head injury, but declined to provide any other details.
Mr Relin was co-author with Greg Mortenson of "Three Cups of Tea," which recounts how Mr Mortenson started building schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
