Police probe chemical bomb threat at CNN Centre
ATLANTA (AP) - Police have closed streets and sidewalks around CNN Centre in downtown Atlanta as they investigate a chemical bomb threat.
Atlanta police Captain Adam Lee told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that a caller claimed to have planted a chemical bomb at the centre.
The sprawling complex is home to CNN, several restaurants and shops, and an adjoining hotel.
Police closed streets and sidewalks to vehicles and pedestrians on the block to the north of the centre, and on the block to the west of the centre. The streets remained closed at 545am (5.45pm, Singapore time), just ahead of the morning rush hour.
