Masagos on five-day visit to Oman to strengthen ties

SINGAPORE - Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli will have a five day visit to Oman, as part of Singapore's efforts to strengthen relations with members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Saturday.

Mr Masagos, whose visit to Muscat starts from April 5, will meet Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousuf Bin Alawi and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sayyid Badr Bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the MFA said in a statement.

Mr Masagos and Minister of Education Dr Madiha Bint Ahmed Al Shibani will sign a memorandum of understanding on "Cooperation in the Field of Education".

Also, Mr Masagos, accompanied by officials from the MFA, will meet Singaporeans living and working in Oman.
