CAIRO (AFP) - Egypt's ousted president Mohamed Mursi has been separated from senior aides detained in a military facility, a senior Islamist official told Agence France-Presse on Thursday.

"Mursi has been separated from his aides and was taken to the defence ministry," said Gehad El-Haddad, a senior Muslim Brotherhood official and son of a top Mursi aide.
