StarHub broadcasts events featuring S'pore athletes
WE AGREE with Mr Tan Shao Ken ("More TV broadcasts of S'pore athletes in action, please"; Forum Online, last Saturday) that it is important to provide avenues for Singaporeans to support our local sporting talent.
Being a home-grown company, StarHub is a proud supporter of local sports.
Throughout the season, StarHub TV screens the International Table Tennis Federation World Tour Series and Badminton World Federation Super Series, featuring our paddlers Feng Tianwei, Yu Mengyu and Gao Ning as well as our shuttlers Derek Wong, Fu Mingtian and Shinta Mulia Sari, on the Racquet Channel (Channel 211).
For football, we are proud to present the live match between the Singapore Selection and Atletico Madrid on SuperSports Arena today at 8pm.
Our FreeView local sports channel, SuperSports Arena on Channel 112/201, is focused on showcasing our country's key sporting events and talent. Some of the local events featured include the Asian Games, Youth Olympic Games, Asian Swimming Championships, LionsXII in the Malaysian Super League, Lion City Cup, Singapore Slingers in the Asean Basketball League, Netball Nations Cup, Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore and National School Games Series 2013.
Our customers can also watch SuperSports Arena on their smart devices via our Internet TV service, TV Anywhere.
Beyond televising local sporting events, we have also held multiple live public screenings of the LionsXII matches.
We thank Mr Tan for his feedback and look forward to cheering on Team Singapore together with Singapore viewers.
