LONDON (AFP) - A British man was jailed on Tuesday after putting a cat in a tumble dryer, filming it and posting the footage on YouTube, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) said.
Alan Staughton, 23, of Huntingdon, eastern England, put Princess inside the drier and told the animal it was going for "a tumble" before letting it spin for 12 seconds.
The cat suffered a broken tooth and a tongue injury in the incident in June.
Staughton was jailed for 56 days by local magistrates and banned from keeping animals for life.
