2 dead, several hurt after tour bus drives off road in southern France
PARIS (AP) - A tour bus drove off of a coastal highway overnight in southern France, leaving two people dead and several injured.
Local official Marie-Paule Bardeche said Sunday that 44 people were on the bus when it went off the road in the Mediterranean town of Fitou, not far from the Spanish border.
Nearly everyone sustained an injury, she said, and two people are still in serious condition.
One of the dead was a French man, the other a Spanish woman.
