CES 2014: Asus launches dual operating system Transformer Book Duet

Taiwanese computer maker Asus unveiled a new laptop/tablet hybrid that can switch between the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system and Google Android mobile operating system in under four seconds.
Developed in partnership with chip maker Intel, the new feature, dubbed Dual-OS, will mean users can enjoy four different uses of the machine.
While previous implementations of having two operating systems in a machine required the use of two processors, the Transformer Book Duet TD300 uses a single Intel Core i7 processor with Intel HD graphics and 4G DDR3L 1600 RAM.
In a hands-on with the device, the switch from one operating system to another and back again, at the touch of a button, only took a few seconds to complete.
