Apple, Samsung infringed each other's patents: S. Korea court
SEOUL (AFP) - A South Korean court ruled on Friday that tech giants Apple and Samsung Electronics had infringed on each other's patents, ordering damage payments from both firms.
The court ruled that Apple breached two Samsung technology patents, and ordered it to pay 40 million won (S$44,000) in damages, court officials said.
It also separately ordered Samsung to pay 25 million won for violating one of Apple's patents, Yonhap news agency said.
Samsung filed a lawsuit against Apple in Seoul in April last year regarding infringement of patents related to telecommunications standards.
