MANCHESTER, England (AP) - Manchester United will unveil a statue of revered manager Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford on Nov. 23, the day before his team's English Premier League match against Queen's Park Rangers.

It will celebrate the 26th anniversary of Ferguson's first game in charge of United - against QPR in 1986.

The statue was commissioned last year to honor the 70-year-old Scotsman's quarter of a century at the helm of the English club, in which time it has won 12 league titles, two Champions Leagues, five FA Cups and four League Cups among other trophies.

It will be built by renowned sculptor Philip Jackson and placed near the entrance to the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, renamed in his honor last year.
