SingTel scores BPL broadcast rights for another 3 seasons

Barclays Premier League (BPL) football is staying on SingTel's mio platform until at least 2016.

The pay-TV provider announced on Wednesday that it had secured broadcast rights to all 380 BPL matches for the next three seasons starting from August 2013.

The rights were acquired on a non-exclusive basis.

Said Mr Allen Lew, SingTel's country chief officer and chief executive of its digital life division: "Along with our recent acquisition of the rights to the Uefa Champions League, Uefa Europa League, FA Cup, Serie A, Ligue 1 and other prominent football tournaments, fans can be assured of SingTel's strong commitment to deliver the most comprehensive football experience on mio TV, the home of football."
