Singapore stroll to 2-0 win over India

THE Singapore national football team secured their second successive international friendly home win with a comfortable 2-0 victory over India at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Substitute Khairul Amri fired the Lions ahead after 42 minutes, before turning provider for Fazrul Nawaz four minutes into the second half.

LionsXII forward Amri had come on for right-winger Shi Jiayi, who departed with a knock to his right ankle.

And his contributions helped Raddy Avramovic's side to a second straight friendly home win, after they defeated Hong Kong 2-0 in August.
