Singapore's bowlers clinched two gold medals in the doubles event today at the Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championship in Auckland through women's pair Geraldine Ng and Bernice Lim and men's duo Javier Tan and Mohammad Jaris Goh.

Ng and Lim scored 2,716 pinfalls in the six-game contest to beat the Malaysian pair of Siti Shazwani and Dayang Khairuniza by a mere seven pins.

The Singaporean men followed their teammates' lead to pip England's Christopher Oates and John Wells to the title, their 2,702-pinfall total superior to the English pair's 2,691.

Goh, 18, who is making his debut at the biennial event, had also won the men's singles silver on Tuesday. The seven-day event ends on Sunday.
