Singapore national netball coach to step down at end of year

National netball coach Kate Carpenter will step down at the end of the year due to personal reasons.
It will be the second time the New Zealander is leaving her post - the first being in 2007 when she returned to her native country after four years at the helm.
Carpenter is one of the most successful coaches Singapore has had, having led the team to two Asian titles.
She said in a press statement on Thursday: "Two of my most memorable campaigns are the Asian Championship victories in 2005 and 2012. Our recent win was a fitting way to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the organisation (Netball Singapore)."
