SAFUWAN Baharudin's header nine minutes from time helped the LionsXII snatch a 1-1 draw against ATM FA on Friday in the first leg of their Malaysia Cup semi-final.
The visitors took the lead at the Jalan Besar Stadium in the 54th minute through top scorer Marlon James.
But Safuwan's strike from a Shahdan Sulaiman free-kick kept the hosts' hopes alive in the competition.
The second leg will be played in Selayang, Selangor, on Thursday. The final will be held on Oct 20 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
