Singapore rugby standout Jay-Hykel Jailani will mix it with the big boys next week as he represents the Asia Pacific Dragons at the prestigious Hong Kong 10s tournament.
The 20-year-old winger, who impressed at the HSBC Asian Rugby Sevens last year, was given a spot as part of a tie-up between the Singapore Rugby Union and the Dragons, an invitational side which showcases the region's best players.
Jay-Hykel will receive guidance from Dragons coach Tana Umaga, the legendary former All Blacks captain, during the March 26-27 showpiece.
The youngster, who has yet to represent Singapore at the 15s level, said: "It is a rare opportunity indeed, and I am determined to make the best of it. I know I have a lot to learn, and I hope I can represent Singapore rugby well."
