Singapore's para-equestrian rider Laurentia Tan is The Straits Times Star of the Month for September.
Ms Tan, 33, has cerebral palsy, but that did not stop her from winning one silver and one bronze medal at the recent Paralympic Games in London.
Singapore's most successful Paralympian is now based in London, and she accepted the award through a recorded video message.
She is the second disabled athlete to received the monthly sports award, which is sponsored by 100PLUS.
