Olympics: Officials confirm 'minor leaks' in velodrome roof
LONDON (AFP) - Officials at the London Olympic velodrome said competition will not be affected despite confirming reports of a leaky roof on the third day of competition on Sunday.
Droplets of water were reported to have dropped into the reporters' mixed zone at the edge of the track as well as the Chinese team's pen in the centre of the track.
As heavy rain swept across the capital, there were no visible signs of water falling on the track itself and no indication the competition, set to resume at 1500 GMT (11pm Singapore time), would be affected.
A source at the velodrome played down the "minor leaks" and said the incident would not affect the competition.
