OCBC Singapore Pro Cycling Team's Loh Sea Keong has signed for Team Argos-Shimano, becoming the first South-east Asian to join a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) ProTour side.

ProTour teams compete on the top-tier UCI World Tour, which includes fabled races such as the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia.

Loh, a 27-year-old Malaysian, has been on the OCBC team for the past two seasons, posting a stellar performance this season on the UCI Asian Tour, which included two stage wins (Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Cup Tour of Thailand, Tour de Singarak) and also won the yellow jersey at the Jelajah Malaysia.

He said: "This is a dream and I'm really stoked. I have to thank the OCBC family for the last two years. It's been great growing up with them and I wish the team all the best next season."

Team Argos-Shimano, while a relatively young set-up, won four stages at this year's Tour de France.
