Monty, Couples inducted to World Golf Hall of Fame
ST AUGUSTINE, Florida (AFP) - Colin Montgomerie and Fred Couples were inducted to the World Golf Hall of Fame, highlights of a stellar 2013 class that also included veteran and lifetime achievement inductees.
Last year, Sandy Lyle became the first living Scot to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He was joined by two others this year, Montgomerie and Ken Schofield.
"Thank you all for coming here this evening to celebrate what I think is the greatest game of them all, and I'm sure you all agree, a game that I started playing at the grand old age of five in Troon, Scotland," Montgomerie said late on Monday.
"Mind you, in Troon, Scotland, that's about all you do," he joked.
