Japan's Ai Miyazato withdrew from the HSBC Women's Champions on Wednesday as she continues to recover from a car accident in Thailand.

The world's ninth-ranked player, along with LPGA pros Paula Creamer and Suzann Pettersen, sustained minor injuries in a five-car pile-up that occurred on Sunday while they were travelling to the airport in Pattaya after the Honda LPGA event.

Organisers said that Miyazato will not play at the Sentosa Golf Club this week as she has been battling whiplash and stiffness in her neck, back and shoulders.
