KUALA LUMPUR - Singapore qualified for the Asean Football Federation Suzuki Cup semi-finals after coming from behind to beat Laos 4-3 at the Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday night.

The Lions fell behind to two first-half goals from Khampheng Sayavoutthi and K Lithideth, before captain Shahril Ishak scored twice to level the tie.

Khairul Amri gave Singapore the lead with a stunning free-kick, with Fazrul Nawaz adding one more. Sayavoutthi struck with a penalty eight minutes from time, but the Lions held on to top Group B on goal difference.

The Philippines will host three-time winners Singapore in the first leg of their semi final on Dec 8, while the second leg will be played in the Republic on Dec 12. Defending champions Malaysia will play Thailand in the other semi-final, after beating Indonesia 2-0 on Saturday.
