Lions confident and have no fear ahead of Asian Cup football qualifier against Oman
Although they have lost six of their seven meetings against the Oman national football team, the Singapore side is brimming with confidence ahead of their Asian Cup qualifying clash at Jalan Besar Stadium tomorrow night.
At a press conference this morning, Lions coach Bernd Stange intoned: "The boys are very motivated. Nobody is afraid to face Oman. We have a chance and anything is possible. We are confident but not overconfident."
National vice-captain Hariss Harun added: "It will be a very physical game but we are well-prepared to impose ourselves."
Oman coach Paul le Guen said: "My team is concentrating on the job. We have to qualify for the Asian Cup finals. We have to go out and get a result."
