Lion City Cup: Singapore U-15s hold PSV counterparts to goal-less draw

An excellent second-half performance from Singapore's National Football Academy Under-15s against their counterparts from PSV Eindhoven on Monday evening is unlikely to be enough to prevent a group-stage exit from this year's Canon Lion City Cup.
The goal-less draw at the Jalan Besar Stadium essentially ensured that Nazri Nasir's side will finish bottom of Group B, barring an eight-goal defeat for the Dutch side against Corinthians of Brazil on Wednesday.
But there were plenty of reasons for the hosts to be happy, who showed great discipline to bounce back after losing their opening match to the South Americans 0-7.
In fact, it was the Singapore outfit that looked the more likely scorers in the closing stages, with Zulqarnaen Suzliman and Haiqal Pashia Anugrah testing goalkeeper Mike van de Meulenhof from distance.
