Tokyo's 2020 Olympics bid plans receive high marks from IOC

TOKYO (AP) - Tokyo's bid plans for the 2020 Olympics received high marks from the International Olympic Committee evaluation commission which finished a four-day inspection on Thursday.
The bid organisers were "highly professional" and preparations were excellent, said IOC vice-president Craig Reedie.
"The bid committee has answered our questions sincerely and it was a very impressive effort," he said.
The commission will next tour Madrid and Istanbul, the other two cities vying to host the Games.
