SEPANG (AFP) - Formula One championship leader Kimi Raikkonen was hit by a three-place grid penalty at the Malaysian Grand Prix on Saturday, in a blow to his chances of winning a second successive race.

The former world champion was penalised for impeding Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg through four turns during the final qualifying shoot-out, and will drop from seventh to 10th on the grid for Sunday's race.

McLaren's Jenson Button, Force India's Adrian Sutil and Sergio Perez, the second McLaren driver, will all move up one spot as a result of the penalty against the Lotus pilot from Finland.
