Formula One: Ferrari names new car the F138; launch to take place on Friday
MARANELLO, Italy (AP) - Ferrari says its new car, which is to be launched on Friday, will be called the F138.
The name is a combination of the year and a tribute to the V8 engines which will be used for the last time this season, bringing an end to an eight-year run.
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo said "Friday is a very important day and the first race in Australia will be even more so. We are working very hard, with a huge amount of determination."
The Formula One season opener will take place in Melbourne from March 15-17.
