Football: Tottenham complete signing of Belgium winger Nacer Chadli
HONG KONG (AFP) - Spurs said Friday they had completed the signing of winger Nacer Chadli from FC Twente after the player agreed personal terms and passed a medical.
The Belgium international, 23, has been in Hong Kong training with his new team-mates but will not play against local side South China on Saturday in the Barclays Asia Trophy.
He is expected to be available for the first time when Tottenham travel to Monaco for a pre-season fixture on August 3.
Chadli, who has 14 caps for his country, cost a reported 7 million pounds (S$13.5 million) from the Dutch side and becomes Spurs' second major signing of the summer after the capture of Brazilian international Paulinho.
