Football: Tahiti player failed doping test at Confederations Cup, says Fifa
ZURICH (AP) - World football governing body Fifa says it has provisionally suspended a Tahiti player for 30 days after he failed a doping test at the Confederations Cup.
Fifa did not identify the player or details of the violation.
The player's sample was taken after Tahiti lost to Uruguay 8-0 in Recife on June 23.
Fifa says it opened disciplinary proceedings and invited the player to request a full hearing.
